The quintessential coffee table book of the swinging 60s featuring photos of Britain’s top models and actresses. Britain ruled the world again for a brief time in the mid- to late-60s, when it dominated the worlds of music, fashion, film and, of course, soccer. The cover image of Patti Boyd has now become one of the iconic images of that decade – – – – – – – – – This is a first American Macmillan edition comes in non-price clipped jacket and is an exceptionally rare signed copy. The book condition is good with shelf wear to the edges and rubbing to the spine tail/corners. There is some bleaching to the green fabric and spine a little loose but solid – contents generally very good for age. Dust jacket has chipping along edges, spine ends/sides – a little de-lamination here, a couple of 1 ½ inch closed tears and a triangular ½ inch chipping to the back (matched coloured paper loose-laid behind to disguise) it is now protected by an archival cover. It has a dedication on the first page ‘To David, In loving memory A miss spent youth – My love Pamela’ and is signed boldly in black pen on the title page under the title ‘John d Green’ (Martin Parr, The Photobook, vol 2, page 202/203)
